Globe, UC hold PRISM Digital Literacy Program in the Visayas

Globe Telecom, in partnership with the University of Cebu (UC), capped off the Visayas leg of PRISM, a digital literacy training program designed to equip private school teachers with technological skills for effective classroom teaching. This will allow teachers and students to access 21st century learning within and beyond the classroom. Globe Gives ICT tools to UNICEF for Quality Maternal and Child Care

Globe Telecom has donated P1 million worth of prepaid load and 200 mobile phones to the United Nations International Children’s Fund (UNICEF) for the provision of quality health services to mothers and their newborn children particularly those in geographically-isolated and disadvantaged areas. The donation will be used for the Real-time Community Health and Information Tracking System or rChits which was initially launched in 10 off-grid areas to aid in information management and treatment response efficiency. Globe Leads With The Highest Industry Growth in the Broadband Business

Globe Telecom, through its broadband brand Tattoo, maintained its leadership in the Philippine broadband industry with its flagship on-the-go and home broadband services after posting double-digit increases in both revenues and subscriber base as of end-September 2013. Broadband revenues leapt 22% from P6.3 billion to P7.8 billion year-on-year, the highest in the industry, on the back of the market’s positive response to Tattoo’s wide portfolio of wireless and wired broadband products that were made more affordable and relevant to subscribers.
